For Google Chrome ONLY tutorial This tutorial will show you how to download songs directly from turntable.fm to your computer. You must be on turntable.fm for this to work. In other words you can’t be reading my tutorial from tumblr and doing the steps below because every tab on chrome has a different thing. (unless you do each step at a time and switch between tabs) Step 1: Click on the wrench at the top right Step 2: Select “Tools” Step 3: Click “Developer Tools” Shortcut for steps 1-3 for Macs ( Option + Command + i ) Step 4: Click on the “Resources” tab Step 5: Click on the “Frames” drop down arrow Step 6: Click on the “(room’s name)” drop down arrow Step 7: You should see the following: Fonts, Images, Scripts, Stylesheets Step 8: Wait for the current song that’s playing to end Step 9: As soon as the next song starts playing “other” should come out Step 10: Click on the “Other” drop down arrow Step 11: You should see a white box icon with some numbers next to it. Double click it. Step 12: This will open up another tab with the current song playing in it Step 13: Save the song using the shortcut ctrl + s or command + s for Macs Step 14: Open up the file and enjoy. Songs are downloaded at 128kbps. Tips: If you do not want to be downloading music every time you hear a good tune then simply add it to your queue and download it some other time. In other words, open up your OWN room when you have collected enough tunes and play them so you can download them.. yes it works. I suggest you close and reopen the “Developer Tools” bar after you download 1 or 2 songs because the songs will stay there and they will all look the same since they are named random numbers.. so you won’t know which songs you are downloading. You do NOT have to rename the mp3 file if you will be importing them to iTunes. Just keep the random numbers when you save the songs and iTunes will automatically name the song and the artist for you when you open it. Re-blog this if you found this tutorial useful. kthxbai.
